Yeah, I know…cutting it close again 😉
Today I have a stitch pattern for you featuring front and back posts which alternate to make a reversible fabric. I also had the brainstorm to try something different: using an extended sc for the first row; hope y’all like it…pictures and formal pattern is forthcoming!
Reversible Post Stitches
ext sc: insert hook into ch, pull up a loop, ch 1, yo and pull through two loops to complete stitch.
fpdc: yo, insert hook around st from front to back under next stitch one row below, pull up a loop around post of stitch, yo and pull through both loops.
bpdc: yo, insert hook around st from back to front over next stitch one row below, pull up a loop around post of stitch, yo and pull through both loops.
Row 1 (wrong side): extended sc (ext sc) in 3rd ch and ea ch across. ch 1, turn.
Row 2 (right side): sc in first st; fpdc around first ext sc, [bpdc around next ext sc, fpdc around next ext sc] across, sc in last st. ch 1, turn.
Rep Row 2 to desired size, ending with a wrong side row.
Final (right side) Row: sc in each st across; fasten off.
